A group lock box is LOTO equipment used for maintenance jobs where the number of points to be locked out and the number of people on the team increase together. The responsible person first locks out all energy isolation points and places the keys to those padlocks inside the box. Then each worker on the team fits their own personal safety padlock to the box.
With this method, each worker does not need to apply a separate lock to dozens of points. The keys remain inaccessible until the last personal lock in the box is removed, so energy cannot be restored before the job is finished. It is one of the most efficient lockout methods in planned shutdowns and major overhauls.
LOTO bags let the technician carry padlocks, devices and tags to the field in an organized way. At Sofilx LOTO we supply multi-hole group boxes, key management boxes, portable plastic boxes, and waist-type, personal, mini, waterproof and lockable bags. When choosing, team size and field conditions should be considered together.

Group Lock Box and LOTO Bag Prices and Models
In maintenance where several people work on the same machine or piping, the most reliable way to make sure everyone is protected is group lockout. The group lock box brings the isolation keys together at a single point and prevents energy from being restored until the last worker removes their lock.
The Sofilx LOTO category includes 12+1 and 18+1 hole group lock boxes, key management boxes, portable plastic LOTO boxes and waist-type, personal, lockable or waterproof LOTO bag models. This way both central group lockout and on-site equipment carrying needs are met from a single category.
