A danger warning tag is an information tag hung on the locked point and used in the "tagout" step, i.e. the tagging step, of the LOTO process. While the lock physically prevents energy from being restored, the tag clearly shows the reason for this barrier and who is responsible for it. This significantly reduces the risk of misunderstandings and accidental energization between different teams working on the same equipment.
The writable areas of the tag usually record the name of the person who applied the lock, their department, the date of the operation and the reason for lockout. This way, anyone who comes to the equipment immediately understands why the machine must not be started and who to ask for information. Tags made of durable material can be used indoors and outdoors and resist water, oil and chemicals.

Prevents the machine from being started during maintenance, cleaning and die changes.

Does a warning tag replace a lock?
No. A tag only provides information; wherever a lock can be fitted, lock and tag must be used together.
