BD-G15DP is a safety padlock with a black body, dust protection and a plastic shackle. The dust-proof design, indicated by the "DP" suffix, protects the shackle and key section against dusty environments. The 6 mm diameter, 38 mm high shackle is used to lock energy isolation points on electrical equipment and plumbing equipment.

The body is non-conductive, non-sparking and resistant to chemicals, extreme temperatures and UV light. Black can be recommended to distinguish locks issued to contractor or outside-company personnel. The key cannot be removed while the lock is open; with KD, KA, MK and KAMK key systems, locks can be managed in an orderly way across the facility.
